Gina and Randy Johns

Gina and Randy Johns

Randy and Gina Johns placed Mosaic in their estate plan because it fit their priorities: God comes first, followed by family, friends, and serving others.

The couple have two children – 25-year-old Drew, and 20-year-old Dakota. Dakota has Down syndrome and has received services from Mosaic in Arizona for 11 years. With encouragement from his parents and support from Mosaic, Dakota has thrived.

"We truly believe in the mission of Mosaic," Gina said. "They stand apart from all the rest."

The family is committed to helping Mosaic and people with disabilities. Gina helps tell the story of Mosaic through Discover the Possibilities events and helps with the annual Christmas party. She is also a board member for the DSNetwork (a support and advocacy group for families and people with Down syndrome).

As a couple, they've opened their lives and home to two young men with disabilities as host home providers. They've also included Mosaic in their estate plan as a way to 'pay it forward.'

"As a parent, you wonder what is going to happen to your son when you die or are unable to care for and support him," Gina said. "Mosaic has been around for 100 years and we want to make sure it is around for another 100 years. This is truly the best way you can 'pay it forward' for centuries to come and know that you are doing God's work. Because of your gift, you will have a huge impact on so many lives."

Randy and Gina worked with Mosaic Planned Giving Services to create their estate plan. Mosaic offers tools and guidance to help people find the right plan that fits their personal goals. For Randy and Gina, that meant directing their gift to support the future of Mosaic in Arizona.
