Wayne and Jo White

Wayne and Jo White

"I think you have to feel more for a child in need."

This statement from Wayne White sums up the way he and wife Jo have lived throughout their 54-year marriage. Their union demonstrates what married love is about: it is not selfish, but pours itself out to everyone around them.

While raising four adopted children, they also made room for foster children and foreign exchange students in their home. Now retired and living in New Mexico, they're still caring for children as volunteers and donors to the Early Intervention Program at Mosaic in Grants.

Jo adds, "They deserve to be helped. That is why we are here as Christians."

The Whites have been Mosaic supporters for years. They also have taken advantage of Mosaic's planned giving opportunities through a charitable gift annuity.

For them, the Mosaic charitable gift annuity is a practical choice because it puts personal assets to work producing annual income, but also a way of supporting an organization they believe in.

"Annuities are a win-win situation," Jo says. "Every time we get the notice of what we get back, we say, 'thank you!'"
